About The Author of The Grand Tree:
Lyn Marsh
Lyn Marsh, PhD, is an author, a mystical guide for those who want to live their dreams, and an artist who paints dream-like oil paintings. Lyn takes her readers on glorious, magical, and riveting adventures that hold extraordinary visionary power. Her current blog is on Mystical Fiction, an up-and-coming genre!
Lyn now resides in Asheville, North Carolina. She shares her life with a myiad of wonderful friends and family. One of the animals that she shares life with is a white persian cat, who was given to her as a gift -- Star [sometimes called Light Bud] -- who lived 9 days in the national forest at 13 years old, with a handicapp and limp, after being let outside by a pet sitter at 11pm at night. Lyn found her, after 9 days, on a low reaching branch of a large tree, sunning herself. Star is now almost 16 years old. Lyn also shares life with her wonderful dog, Sparkle, who exudes joy continuously!
Lyn began her studies with an interest in neuropsychology and has published work on The Effects of MSG. Lyn then moved her studies to Counseling Psychology with an minor in Community Psychology. She wrote her dissertation on Compassionate Behavior in Children, and received her doctorate in Counseling Psychology from the University of Florida.
Lyn has worked with adults, children, adolescents, and families. She helps them find and live new dreams and visions so that they can expand their possibilities of living a life that exceeds their current imagination and expectation.
Since her studies and her years of practicing as a Psychotherapist, Lyn has moved more into the mystical and mysterious of dreaming and dream work. From this approach, she has investigated and discovered how to help others use dreaming and dream work to expand their own power so that they can create more success in their lives.
Lyn loves nature, dreaming, crystals, and living a magical life that is alive with possibility and hope ... as well as enchantment and wonder ... A life that reflects the more real of what can be.
Lyn attributes her success, and much of the influence in her writing, dream work, and painting, to Lazaris' teachings. Lazaris teaches about 'creating success in your reality'. She feels deep gratitude for Lazaris and Lazaris' immense love and guidance. She feels deep appreciation and thanks for Jach Pursel and Concept:Synergy. Her writing, art work, and dream work do not necessarily reflect the teachings of Lazaris or Concept:Synergy.

About the Illustrator:
Laura Harkrider
A peripatetic childhood as a military brat instilled in Laura Harkrider a love of travel, new experiences and nature. She’s lived in Okinawa, Japan, The Philippines, and half a dozen US states, finally putting down roots in Asheville, North Carolina - an artist’s town tucked into the Appalachian’s verdant mountains.
After college, Laura held the typical series of unexciting jobs which motivated her to pursue her life long dream of becoming a fine artist. She took the leap of going back to college and received a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts degree with a concentration in Drawing and Painting, from the University of Georgia, Athens. Later she started her own company, Angel Kitty Designs, painting original watercolor artwork that combines Laura quirky sense of humor, understanding of the feline personality and unique figurative art style. Sold in specialty boutiques across the country and online, Laura’s prints, cards and magnets proved appealing both to collectors and to a general audience. Along with her popular cat artwork, Laura has recently rediscovered her love of portraiture, completing commissions ranging from fantasy-inspired visions of a young girl to highly realistic renderings of children. In 2010, Laura illustrated her first children’s book, The Grand Tree by Lyn Marsh. She looks forward to illustrating many more.
Laura has many favorite colors but is partial to blue: cerulean blue and thalo blue, the color of the sky at dusk. “I love the blues Van Gogh used in so many of his paintings.” She draws inspiration from nature she sees everyday: listening to the wind rustle leaves and the sound of flowing water, watching her daughter (7 yr. old Shaelee) grow, and learning from the trees. Indeed, trees are so crucial that Laura says “I can sit under a tree, leaning against it and closing my eyes and get answers to all my questions. In many ways, trees are my spirituality.”
